Central Ohio Club Recognizes Founder's Day
Each year the Club recognizes an outstanding graduating African American senior. This year the scholarship award was presented to Rika DuJour Goudy of Centennial High School. Ms. Goudy maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout high school. She will attend Xavier University in the Fall.
Cleveland Congress of Bridge Clubs to host America
The Cleveland Congress of Bridge Clubs (CCBC), an affili­ate of the American Bridge Association (ABA) will be host­ing the ABA Spring National Tournament from March 24rh through March 29th in 2008. Cleveland was the host city for this tournament on four previ­ous occasions, the summer of 1942 and 1981. and the spring of 1971 and 1975. The city has waited twenty-seven years for this 2008 opportunity. The hosts are planning a stellar event.
100 Black Men to salute local leaders
The 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland Inc., a chap­ter affiliate of The 100 Black Men of America Inc., has announced it's 2008 award recipients who will be honored at the 100 Black Men in Black Ties Scholarship and Awards Gala, Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center, 127 Public Square, in Cleveland.
