What also remains to be seen is if justice is properly served in the shooting of Trayvon Marton.
After more than a month of being one of the highest profile, most talked about killings in modern times, the case of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin has gone dark.
George Zimmerman, 28, is charged with second degree murder in the death of Martin, 17, who Zimmerman spotted inside a gated community in Sanford, Florida on February 26, pursuing him both in his SUV and on foot before the shooting.
The Sanford police failure to arrest Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, for more than a month following the shooting prompted nationwide protests and rocked this nation, along with the tiny Florida town.
And now this case has gone silent while the wheels of justice turn.
No doubt, when this case goes to court another flurry of media activity will erupt.
Already, the new lawyer for Zimmerman has asked a Florida judge to seal off all records to the press. And now his attorney is asking the judge to step down because of a potential conflict of interest.
Whether the judge grants the request remains to be seen.
What also remains to be seen is if justice is properly served in the shooting of Trayvon Marton.
We’ll have to wait with bated breath.
