Rice received two master’s degrees – one in business administration from Ashford University and another in counseling and college student development from Long Island University.
Mark A. Rice, new campus Chief Academic & Administrative Officer
National College Mark A. Rice of Akron, Ohio as director of the Cleveland campus. As campus director, Rice will serve as the college’s chief academic and administrative officer, as well as National College’s principal representative in the local community.
Rice has served in many leadership roles throughout his career, most recently as the COO, president, and vice-president of White Hat Management in Akron from 2008-2010.
In addition to his business accomplishments, Rice led a distinguished career in the U.S. Army, serving from 1987 until 2008. As an officer, he served in many management positions, including deputy chief of staff, deputy director of the strategic advisory group, recruiting battalion commander, and special assistant for recruiting.
He worked in the Pentagon from 2007-2008 and also worked abroad in Germany. Some of his service awards include the Meritorious Service Medal and Legion of Merit.

“With his business leadership and military expertise, Rice brings great experience to his newest leadership position,” said Tim Philibin, regional director of operations for the College in Ohio, “He will continue to be a key individual in National College’s mission to educate and train career-minded individuals.”
