Groundbreaking took place for the new Cleveland State University Campus Village.
Cleveland State University (CSU) broke ground on the new Campus Village residential development project at the corner of East 23rd and Chester Avenue in Downtown Cleveland. Designed to attract young professionals, CSU alumni, and students, Campus Village will consist of more than 300 apartments in nine buildings, restaurants, shops, green space, as well as a movie theater, media rooms and a cyber café.
Phase 1 of the development is slated to be complete in the fall of 2012, with the second phase completed in the fall of 2013. Mayor Jackson joined CSU President Ronald M. Berkman, U.S. Representative Marcia L. Fudge, Polaris Real Estate Equities President Guy Totino as well as other business and community leaders for the ceremony.
