Gay's attorney and friend Melanie GiaMaria is mobilizing volunteers to help find Tionna.
CLEVELAND - Vanessa Gay knows how dangerous the streets of Cleveland can be. She is one of the women who escaped the Imperial Avenue home of serial killer Anthony Sowell.
Now, Gay's daughter is missing. 14-year-old Tionna Miller left her Slavic Village home on the morning of September 26th, but she never arrived at school and she hasn't been seen by her family since. "I have to find my daughter," Gay said. "It's not an option. I have to find my daughter."
Tionna ran away in June and returned a few days later. Even if she has run away again, Gay fears for her safety. "There is nothing but drugs, prostitution, and death in the streets for a 14 year old," she said. "She can't survive out here."
Gay's attorney and friend Melanie GiaMaria is mobilizing volunteers to help find Tionna. They are asked to meet at Lutheran Ministries, 1468 W. 25th, Friday at noon to help distribute flyers.
