Anyone who plans to stay in a Red Cross shelter should bring prescription medications, extra clothing, pillows, blankets, hygiene supplies, important documents and other comfort items.  Don’t forget to bring any special items for children, such as diapers, formula and toys, or items for family members who have unique needs (i.e., canes, walkers, hearing aids, CPAP machines).  Service animals may stay in a Red Cross shelter; other arrangements need to be made for family pets.

American Red Cross will staff shelters, provide food, and cots for sleeping.  There will be 24-hour security on-site at these shelters.
