Victim found dead in car on Higbee Ave.

CLEVELAND - Cleveland Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of E.84th street and Higbee Avenue Saturday afternoon.

That area is known for illegal dumping.

 

When officers approached the suspicious vehicle, they saw that the driver was trying to remove something from the vehicle.

Police say they also noticed that a person was inside the car.

 

According to a report, when the driver saw the officers he took off on foot.

 

Police were able to catch the driver and make an arrest. His identity has not been released.

 

The person inside the vehicle, and unidentified black male, was unresponsive and had head injuries, according to police.

Cleveland EMS were called to assist with the victim. They pronounced him dead at the scene.

 

The official cause of death will be determined by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
