CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Fire Department is investigating a house explosion on Kimmel Road.
According to Cleveland fire dispatch, they were called to the home around 8 p.m. Wednesday night for a report of an explosion. When crews arrived they found pieces of a home scattered about the area on fire.
The rubble from what was once a Cleveland home hours after an explosion blew it to pieces.
According to Larry Gray with the Cleveland Fire Department, a neighbor heard the blast and alerted firefighters around 9 p.m.
Early Thursday morning the debris was still smoking as fire fighters sprayed water on the area.
When crews got to Kimmel Road, they found the two-and-a-half story home had been leveled.
The cause of the explosion is unknown.
