CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio— A Cleveland Heights teenager was shot and killed Saturday night during what police called a "large disturbance."

Cleveland Heights police responded to the area of Lee Road and Superior Avenue around 11:45 p.m., after several people called 911 reporting the commotion and hearing gunshots.

When the officers arrived, they found the teen, Artwon Oliver, 16, lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers quickly began CPR, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Oliver later died at MetroHealth Medical Center.

The Cleveland Heights Police Department is investigating the shooting.

Additional details were not immediately released.
