Body found by store on east side of Cleveland

CLEVELAND - Police in Cleveland said the circumstances surrounding a woman’s body being found behind a convenience store on the city’s east side appear to be homicide.

 

Cleveland police said the body was discovered at about 5 p.m. behind a store on Euclid Avenue near Avalon Road. The woman was on the ground and unresponsive when officers arrived, and paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

 

The woman has not yet been identified.

 

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office was called to the scene and will investigate the cause of death.

 

The address that matches up with the police report is a Convenient Food Mart at 18121 Euclid Ave.

 

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the case to contact them at 216-623-5464.
