CLEVELAND - Police are investigating after a student was injured at a Cleveland Schools bus stop Wednesday morning.

A spokeswoman with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District said a student was taken to the hospital after the incident. It happened after school was over for the day, following an early dismissal.

The Cleveland Police Department, CMSD security and Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority police were all at the scene moments after it happened. The CMSD spokeswoman said protocol is for all three agencies to be on patrol during dismissal times.

According to a supervisor at MetroHealth Medical Center, the student is listed in serious condition, but would not elaborate further on injuries.
