CLEVELAND, Ohio—
A mother drops her 18-month-old boy out a second story window to neighbors below before being set on fire by the child's father, and now CMHA and Cleveland Police are searching for the man responsible.

According to Chief Executive Officer Angel Morales of the CMHA Police Department, the incident took place around 10:57 a.m. in the 4800 block of Quincy Avenue.

Morales saids the couple was arguing when their domestic incident spilled out into the street. The mother, who was holding the 18-month-old, ran back inside the home and at one point, according to Morales, was doused with lighter fluid by the child's father, 31-year-old Kevin Ford Jr.

The mother then yelled to neighbors after opening a second story window and soon thereafter dropped the child to a woman below.

According to Morales, soon after dropping the child, the woman was lit on fire by Ford Jr.

Morales says that the woman was able to remove the burning clothes before she jumped from the same window to the ground below.

The woman has been taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where she is being treated for burns and possible broken bones, according to Morales.

Both CMHA and Cleveland Police are searching for Ford Jr., at this hour.
