One of tow shot victims laid to rest
TWINSBURG, Ohio - Funeral services were held Saturday for one of the victims involved in last week’s fatal Cleveland Police shooting at Lee and Terrace Road.
Family and friends gathered at the Sanctuary of Praise located at 8788 Hadden Rd in Twinsburg, Ohio to pay their last respects.
Russell’s body was laid to rest with many unanswered questions surrounding his and Malissa Williams, his 30-year-old passenger’s deaths.
Thursday, Nov. 29, downtown Cleveland Police officers believed they heard a gunshot fired from Russell’s vehicle and a police chase ensued.
The chase ended at Lee and Terrace Road in East Cleveland with both Russell and Williams shot more than twenty times each.
The fatal police involved shooting remains under investigation by East Cleveland Police Detectives along with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.
Malissa Williams' funeral arrangements are unknown at this time.
