police_blotter_4_webHomicide on Elda Court: On March 8, a 22 year old man was pronounced dead on arrival at Grant Hospital from a gunshot wound and on March 1, about 3:45 a.m. the assailant was caught, arrested and charged with murder.

17 year old boy kills man 42: On March 13 about 4:35 p.m. police were called to a location on Roberts Place were they found a 42 year old man lying unconscious and bleeding after a fight with a 17 year old boy. The juvenile was taken into custody at the scene.

 

Columbus 

Homicide on Elda Court: On March 8, a 22 year old man was pronounced dead on arrival at Grant Hospital from a gunshot wound and on March 1, about 3:45 a.m. the assailant was caught, arrested and charged with murder.

17 year old boy kills man 42: On March 13 about 4:35 p.m. police were called to a location on Roberts Place were they found a 42 year old man lying unconscious and bleeding after a fight with a 17 year old boy. The juvenile was taken into custody at the scene.

The matter is under investigation.

Shooting on Cleveland Avenue: On March 15, around 11 p.m., there was a heated argument in the 1500 block of Cleveland Avenue where a man was shot in his back three or four times.   The 33 year old male was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

Cleveland 

Two light skin men shot man in his thigh: On March 14, at 10:30 a.m., a 40 year old man had been shot on 116 and Williams Ave., by two light skin men wearing grey hoodies.

Brother and sister in squabble: On March 16, around 1:30 p.m., a woman in the 2900 block of South Moreland Blvd called police and said that her brother was there at her apartment kicking her stuff around.

Two men shooting on Cedar Ave: On March 16 at 1:55 p.m., two men were seen firing shots at someone. One man had on a red hoodie and the other man shooting was wearing jeans and a gray hoodie. They both were last seen running on 71st Street near Cedar Ave.

Couple in 2 different Cadillac’s ready to fight: March 16 around 2 p.m. a security guard at Rite Aid Drug on St. Clair called and reported that a couple was in the parking lot arguing and getting ready to fight. He described it as a domestic disagreement between a couple driving two separate cars. One person was driving a champagne colored Cadillac and other driving a black Cadillac.

Three bullies beating on one boy: On March 16, around 2:30 p.m. several passersby at Lee Rd. and Alberta Ave called police and reported three boys were jumping on another boy and he was on the ground and they were beating him.

Man breaking and entering: On March 16, around 2:30 p.m. police were called about a man who was breaking into a vacant building on Union Avenue.

Couple fighting in middle of the street: March 16, at 2:04 p.m. several passersby called police and reported that a man and a woman were fighting in the middle of the street at 52nd and St. Clair and that the two kids were watching them fight.

Hold up alarm on 105th. Street: On March 16, about 3:30 p.m., police received a silent alarm from a fashion wear store on East 105th.

Woman threatening to stab another female: On March 16, about 3:38 p.m., a woman on 99th.and Manor Ave. called police and said that another woman was threatening with a knife.

Man trying to hit another man with a crowbar: On March 16, at 3:40 p.m., it was reported that two men were fighting at 55th and Woodland Ave., and one of them had a crowbar.

Cleveland Heights 

Two men refusing to leave Burger King: On March 15, around noon, a call came from an employee at Burger King. The caller reported that two were in the lobby arguing and were causing a disturbance by refusing to leave.

Thief caught and held by Home Depot employees: On March 15, at about 2 p.m., an employee at the Home Depot Severance called police and said they had caught a man stealing. The man was later placed under arrest. 

Harassing phone caller: On March 15, around 4:10 p.m., a person on Yorkshire Blvd. reported they were being harassed by character who kept calling them.

Music way too loud: On March 16, at about 11 p.m., at night in the 2800 block of Mayfield, a neighbor called and said that they were being disturbed by a person who was playing their music too loud.

Man reports wife for disturbing him: On March 16, a man on St. Albans Road called police and told them that his wife was there causing a disturbance. The wife was told to leave.

Man caught driving drunk on Mayfield Road: On March 16, around 11 a.m., police stopped a man in the 2900 block of Mayfield Road for driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and his car towed.

Folks fighting in a brown car: March 16, around 8:21 a.m., a passerby called and reported a disturbance with two people fighting in a brown/tan car at Lee Road and Monticello Blvd.

Suspicious man in back yard: On March 16, at 9:51 a.m., a caller on Monticello Blvd reported that a suspicious looking man wearing a black jacket and a skull cap was in the backyard and he ran when they spotted him. Minute’s later he caught and arrested on Hillstone Road.

Juvenile trespassing: On March 16, a boy was trespassing on Cleveland Heights High School property. He was picked up and transported to his residence.

Two people in an argument: On Mar 16th. it was reported that two folks on Coventry were in a disturbing verbal altercation. Both parties’ were advised.

University Heights 

Unauthorized use of man’s credit card: On March 7, a man came into the UHPD and reported that somebody had fraudulently used his credit card numbers, because he had the card in his possession at all times. The thief brought gas in Lorain County at two different gas stations which total 104 dollars and some change.

Grown man caught stealing iPod cases: On March10, around 6:45 p.m., Target security caught a man and a juvenile boy stuffing iPod cases into their pockets. The cases are only worth $ 34.00 each. Both of the offenders were detained and charged with theft.

Missing Person: On March.10, it was reported that a 16 year old girl had not returned home after school the day before and the high school said that there was no record of her attending classes for that day.
