Jealous-haters shoots up boy’s nice car: On April 29, around 9:36 p.m., a gang of boys were walking from a school parking lot in the 1200 block of Koebel Road. As the group passed another juvenile in a very nice car, one boy opened fire with a handgun, striking the nice-looking vehicle multiple times. No one was injured.
Bullet grazes man’s forehead: Around 11:45 p.m., on April 30, as an 18 year old man was leaving a party in the 1100 block of Farbon Avenue. Gunshots rang out from a house down the street and fortunately a stray bullet only grazed the victim’s forehead causing minor jury. He was taken to an area hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Thief threw a brick through the glass door: On April 10, at approximately 4:50 a.m.,
a man threw a brick through the front glass door of the, United Dairy Farmers store on King Avenue. The rouge kicked a hole in the glass big enough for him to crawl through and went in and began stuffing cigarettes in a large plastic bag. He was recorded on camera.
Injured child’s daddy is on the run: On May 3, around 11:30 p.m., an infant was taken to Children’s Hospital with several non-accidental injuries. The child’s 29 year old mother was arrested and charged with child abuse and endangering. Police reported that the 34 year old, daddy who is also charged is on the run.

18 year old threatening his grandmother: On May 4, at 9:06 a.m., a boy’s mother called his sister who called police and reported that her brother was punching holes in the wall and threatening his elderly grandmother. A unit was sent to investigate.
2 men stripping the aluminum siding off a house: On May 4, around 9:20 a.m., a woman caller in the 8000 block of Williams Avenue reported that there were 2 men who were stealing the metal, the doors and stripping the aluminum siding off the vacant, green house next to hers.
Stepfather taking stuff and putting it in a U-Haul: On May 4, about 9:39 a.m., a caller in the 6700 block of St Clair, reported that their stepfather was there with a U-Haul and was taking property that wasn’t his and putting it in the truck.
Granny calls police on disrespectful granddaughter: On May 4, about 9:41 a.m., a fed-up grandmother at an eastside address called and reported that her adult granddaughter is at her house disrespecting her and refusing to leave.
Owner claims the truck was stolen after accident: On May 5, at approximately 9:06 a.m. there was a hit-skip with a car and a white truck on 490 East on the shoreway. Minutes later after the accident a woman called in and reported to police that her white truck had been stolen. (Hummm! Isn’t that’s the oldest trick in the book?)
Woman’s car missing, but she has the keys: On May 5, around 9:14 a.m., a woman in the 1900 block of Montana Avenue, called and reported that her red Pontiac with temporary tags was missing, but she still had the keys.
Big Ol’ 275 lbs man with a knife: At 9:40 a.m., on May 5, a man called from an address on East 156 and reported that there was a “big O’” light skinned, man, outside his building with a knife who wants to fight him. He said the man is wearing a black jacket and weighs about 275 lbs.
Man on East 55th threatening his sister: On May 5, at approximately 9:57 a.m., a woman in the 3800 block of East 55th, called and reported that her brother was there threatening her and she wanted him removed.
Landlord and tenant in heated dispute: Around 2:23 p.m., on May 5, a third party in the 3300 block of East 149th, Street , called and reported that the landlord and a tenant were in a very heated depute, and “somebody gone get in trouble” if you don’t send a car.
Neighbor scared 4 pit bulls gonna get lose: About 2:34 on May 5, a police unit on the scene called and requested that the kennel come for 4 Pit Bull dogs that are in a yard held with very thin chains and the neighbors are scared that they are going to break lose.
Two men in a black car, driving and shooting up in the air: Around 2:39 p.m., on May 5, several calls were received reporting that, two men in a black, four door Honda was driving on 142nd street, headed towards Miles had fired about 3 or 4 shots in the air. One man is wearing a red tee shirt and the other wearing a white.
Man threatening girlfriend with a gun: On May 5, at approximately 2:44 a.m., a woman in the 800 block of East 150th Street (south of Miles) called and reported that her boyfriend is in a car with a pistol and is threatening to shoot her. She said he is driving and wearing a white tee shirt. Police did locate the auto and arrested the man.
Big woman in PJs punches neighbor in her face: On May 5, about 2:55 p.m., a caller reported that while she was outside talking to her boyfriend, a heavy set woman wearing “big pink pajamas bottoms” came from a house down the street and began punching her in the face. The woman left and went back home.
Suspicious looking man in a green SUV: Around 2:58 p.m., on May 5, a caller in the 1300 block of East 187th reported that there was a suspicious looking man sitting in a green SUV parked in the lot crossed street and no one is at home and he should not be there. A unit was sent to investigate.
Man selling drugs on 116th and Union, near Sunoco: On May 5, around 3:02 p.m., an employee at the Sunoco gas station on 116th, called and reported that a man in a grey and black hoodie was on their property selling drugs and he had threatened them when they told him they’re going to call the police.

Peeping Tom caught in the act: On April 27, at 2:35 in the morning, a man was busted by police as he was peeping at a woman through the window in the 3100 block of Meadowbrook Road. The man was arrested and charged with voyeurism, which is a sex crime.
Man busted as fake E.C. police officer: On April 27, around 9:57 a.m., a man was stopped by police in the 3300 block of Mayfield Road for driving with fictitious license plates. While being questioned, the man produced an East Cleveland Police badge and he stated he worked for them, which was not true. The police proved he was lying, took his phony badge, towed his car and charged him.
A thief caught stealing copper plumbing: On April 27, around 12:23 p.m., a caller reported that a man had broken in the back door of a vacant house in the 3800 block of Kirkwood Road and was still in there. When police arrived they found that all the copper plumbing had been removed. The rogue was charged with breaking and entering.
Man arrested for exposing himself: On April 27, around 5:40 p.m., a caller in 2700 block of Hampshire Road, reported that a man was acting strange and that he had exposed himself. Police arrived, arrested the man and charged him with indecent exposure.
Woman reports ex-boyfriend there tearing up stuff: On April 27 around 9:38 p.m., a woman in the 1300 block of Cleveland Heights Blvd. called and reported that her ex-boyfriend was there tearing up stuff and destroying her property.
Neighbors call police 4 times about woman’s loud music: On April 27, around 10: 41 p.m., the first caller reported that a woman in apartment # 27 in a building in the 14100 block of Superior Avenue was playing her music way too loud. For the next two days the woman was reported three other times. On the forth call, police advised the woman that next time they come out she would be cited
Woman reports man won’t get out her house: On April 27, about 8:20 a.m., a woman at a Noble Road apartment called and reported that a man was at her home and would not leave. After the woman called police the man left, but he was arrest a few streets over, because he had been warned before to stay away from her. The man was charged with trespassing.
Cousin refusing to leave: On April 28, around 2:27 p.m., a caller in the 1600 block of Hillcrest Road, reported that her cousin was there and refusing to leave. Police arrived and cuz was told to leave.
Man named “Beef” selling drugs on Taylor Road: On April 28, about 2:40 p.m., a caller reported that a man, wearing red jackets, who goes by the name “Beef,” was on the corner of Monticello and Taylor Road selling drugs. When police arrived, Mr. Beef was UTL (unable to locate).
Injured woman doesn’t want police involved: On April 28, around 6:49 p.m., a caller reported that a woman at the corner of Taylor and Caledonia Road had been hit and injured by someone, but she was insisting, “don’t get the police involved.”
Need police there when she fires 2 people: On April 28, about 8:12 p.m. a beauty shop owner in the 12400 block of Cedar Road, called and said she needed the police there because she was going fire 2 people and there could trouble.
Woman knocking on the window at 3 in the morning: On April 30, at 3:03 a.m. a caller reported that woman was knocking on the window of a house in the 800 block of Ravine Road, for a friend, who is someone that doesn’t’ t even live there.
Two big Pit Bulls running lose: On April 30, around 10:25 a.m., there were several calls from residents on Helmsdale Road, who reported that there were two large pit bull dogs running lose through the neighborhood. Animal control was notified.
Big Ol’ woman beating up two men: On April 30, around 7:04 p.m., there were several callers from a bar on Mayfield Road that there was a huge fight in the parking lot, and that a big woman was beating up two men. Both men were taken to an area hospital and the woman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault.
Man caught peeing on tree lawn: On May 2, about 6:30 p.m., a man was caught peeing on the tree lawn of a house in the 800 section of Keystone Drive. He was advised of the ordinance and released.
University Heights
Couple chokes and stabs over TV remote: On April 25, at about 10:57 a.m., a call came from a husband who lives in the 13500 block of Cedar Road. The caller said that he and his wife had got into a fist fight about the TV remote control and that his wife had stabbed him with a pair of scissors. During the investigation police found out that the husband had choked her and that is why she stabbed him with the scissors. They both were charged with domestic violence.
Cousin tricks couple out of $ 7,400.00: On April 25, around 11:52 a.m., a couple came into UHPD and reported that a cousin had more or less swindled them out of $7,400. The man and his wife told police that the cousin had sold them both a job in Akron, Ohio which they paid him $ 700.00 each for the positions. He then told them that he could get them two luxury cars real cheap. He sold the husband a 2009 Hummer, for $ 3,000 and the wife, a Armada for $ 3,000. The cousin has not made either transaction good.
Man caught with 4 video controls in his pants: On April 25, around 6:41 p.m., Target security cameras (CCTV) caught a man stuffing 4 Wii remotes down his paints.
The man took the remotes and walked out the door, but was arrested once he left the store with the merchandise which totaled $ 159.00 and change. Target said that they are going to prosecute.
Two females 15 and 17 caught stealing at T.J.Max: On April 28, around 6:27 p.m., T.J.Max security caught two young girls stuffing items into their purse. The items totaled about $ 145.00. The girls were turned over to their parents.
