National Bar celebrates 87 years.
The National Bar Association (NBA), the largest group of African-American lawyers and judges, will meet for their 87th Annual Convention and Meetings at Caesars Palace, July 14th-19th. The convention will address various issues and legal matters including voter empowerment, gaming and health laws, education and more.
The NBA will also recognize several leaders for their outstanding work in the legal field and within their communities. The convention will also host two public events for the Las Vegas community.
The panel includes Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr. (Rainbow Push Coalition), Barbara Arnwine (Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law), Donna Brazile (Democratic National Committee) and Gary Flowers (Black Leadership Forum). It is open to the public and will offer election protection training immediately following the forum. A press conference will follow forum. Wednesday, July 18th, 1pm-3pm.
NBA 87th Annual Convention Awards Gala features a live performance from Mint Condition and award presentations to Benjamin Crump, Esq; Linnes Finney, Jr., Esq.; D. Peter Herbert, Esq. (O.B.E.); John W. Boyd, Jr., Esq.; Greg Francis, Esq. and Toyota. Wednesday, July 18th at 7pm.
The Minority Corporate Counsel Association and VAULT will be recognized, alongside Juliette Pryor, Esq. and Laurie N. Robinson, Esq. with 2012 Pinnacle Awards
