A new $25,000 reward fund has been established for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in connection with the homicide case of Alicia Moore, a 16 year-old girl who disappeared on November 22 after getting off the school bus in Greenville.

TEXAS – Last week, Lessielee Ann King, 20 was arrested under suspicion of child abuse after the father of their 1 year-old son discovered bite marks on the baby’s cheek when he returned home from work. King was charged with “Injury to a child under 15 years old, bodily injury,” a third degree felony. According to the childs father, this is not the first time King has been guilty of abuse. He claims that she’s jealous of the relationship he has with his son and that he previously had to have family monitor her in his absence.
TEXAS – A new $25,000 reward fund has been established for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in connection with the homicide case of Alicia Moore, a 16 year-old girl who disappeared on November 22 after getting off the school bus in Greenville. Authorities found Moore’s body inside a trunk of a car along a highway in Van Zandt County on November 6, 2012, four days after her disappearance.
GEORGIA – A simple battery charge lodged last June against mega church pastor Creflo Dollar after a scuffle with his daughter has been dismissed. Dollar, one of the best known adherents of a prosperity gospel, recently completed a three month, pre-trial intervention program that allowed him to avoid court. He was required to enroll in an anger management program, report to a probation officer and pay $1,072 in court fees. The pastor of World Changers Church International has no history of such events.

ANGOLA – Isabel dos Santos, the oldest daughter of Angola’s president, has become Africa’s first female billionaire. The 40 year-old’s shares in several Portuguese firms, including a TV cable company, and an Angolan bank put her on the billionaires list. Her first venture was a restaurant in Luanda called Miami Beach. Most of the population in oil rich Angola, live on about $2 a day.
KENYA - The much awaited Konza Technology City, which is equated to the famous Silicon Valley here in the U.S., is now a reality after an official launch by President Mwai Kibaki last week. This now opens gates for investors and developers to start construction at the new city dubbed Silicon Savannah, which is expected to brand the country as a global destination of choice for technology innovation.

JAMAICA – Amnesty International has described as “outrageous” the ongoing delays in the presentation of a report into the deadly 2010 law enforcement operation in Tivoli Gardens, aimed at arresting suspected gang leader Christopher “Dudus” Coke. The public defender failed to meet another deadline last week prompting the watchdog group to issue a statement. “Continued delays in the investigation could be letting people get away with murder.”
