The Penn National Gaming is currently implementing a $400 million casino construction project in Central Ohio and it doesn’t want minority businesses to be left out of the opportunity to compete for the contracts that must be awarded.

Woman robbed at ATM by man with baseball bat: At about 9:45 p.m., on March. 25, a woman making a deposit at an ATM machine on South Hamilton Road was robbed by a light skinned man who attacked her with a baseball bat. Victim is reported in stable condition.
Man with short hair shoots up house: On March 22, around 7:34 p.m., it was reported by a 40 year old man living in the 1300 block of Moundview Avenue that another man fired a handgun at him several times, missed, but hit his house. The assailant is described as being “about 5’8, with short hair.”

Thieves broke in car while couple rehearsed for wedding: Sept. 03, at 9:20 p.m. two men broke into a car that was parked on S. High Street while the people were rehearsing for their wedding. The thieves stole credit cards.

Woman jumped on a husband and his wife: March 19, around midnight there was a big fight in a bar on Parsons Avenue. A 33 year old woman stabbed a man 22 and his wife 24 years of age. The couple was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital.
The woman is charged with aggravated assault.

Homicide on Elda Court: On March 8, a 22 year old man was pronounced dead on arrival at Grant Hospital from a gunshot wound and on March 1, about 3:45 a.m. the assailant was caught, arrested and charged with murder.
17 year old boy kills man 42: On March 13 about 4:35 p.m. police were called to a location on Roberts Place were they found a 42 year old man lying unconscious and bleeding after a fight with a 17 year old boy. The juvenile was taken into custody at the scene.
