By doing so, you just may be that wheel that gets the grease.
“The squeaking wheel doesn’t always get the grease. Sometimes it gets replaced. Basically meaning that those who complain the loudest do not always get the attention/service as they think they will but someone else gets it instead.
I am talking about those of you who complain and argue with your Christian sisters and brothers in the church. Just because you complain the loudest doesn’t mean you will always have your way. As the above saying suggests, you can be replaced.
Sometimes as Christians, you have to sit back and be humble.
As Christians, we are taught that we should live just as Christ Himself lived. Christ’s life on earth began as humbly as could be, in a stable in Bethlehem. In Matthew 11, Jesus says, “take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart.” He goes on to say that “you will find rest for your souls” by doing this. Most importantly, Jesus humbled himself to the will of his Father. Every time we say the Lord’s Prayer, which Christ taught us, we humble ourselves before God (“Thy will be done”).
Jesus humbled himself again in the Garden of Gethsemane, when he again submitted to the will of the Father. As Phillipians 2:8 states, “He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross.” In short, Christ is the ultimate example of a person being humble. Philippians 2:14-15 it says, “In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing so that no one can speak a word of blame against you.”
By doing so, you just may be that wheel that gets the grease.
