Happy Birthday and 23rd Pastoral Anniversary

Bishop Moultry:

My husband and I attended your birthday celebration on Saturday the 19th, your actual 58 birthdate at the Terry Macklin Party Center and bishop, we enjoyed ourselves so much. First, when you came out in your white Bishop's robe, shouting and dancing to the beat of the song, "Go tell it on the mountain," and your robe flying all over the place, it was so beautiful and really set the tone for "Christmas in November."

But bishop, when you came out in the different outfits and that fur coat and fur hat, you truly looked like a real model out of New York or even Hollywood! My husband said you worked that runway and moved in between the tables as people took pictures of you as if you were a professional. Over and over again, as you came out in different outfits, you smiled, shook hands of the people that reached out to you and when that lady on the table next to me jumped up and kissed you on the lips you handled that well.  Your armor bearer assisting you didn't know what to do when she kissed you on the lips. I wanted to do the same thing as that lady did, but my husband laughed telling me, "you better not move." Him and I are still laughing about that. I told him the next fashion show you're in I'm going to make him stay at home. You and the male models looked great. One outfit you wore my husband is going to buy from the store that was announced when you came out in it.

The food was great, the music was great and all the people were having a great time. Just you being there made the show, because I don't know of any other Bishop who would have taken time out of their busy schedule to do what you did.

You're truly the people's Bishop! Happy Birthday again from my husband and me.

Bishop Moultry:

My family and I attended your Explosion kick-off Birthday Celebration on Friday the 18th, and It was a packed house and the spirit of the Lord was truly there. Being in a smaller church made me realize how important it is to be able to touch your pastor, hug your pastor and know the members or those in attendance by name. I got a chance to meet you for the first time, hug you and personally thank you for all your years of writing Bishop's Speaks which has encouraged me over the years. And bishop, your Praise Team, they are wonderful. As they danced to the music it was as if they were floating on air. You could see they are anointed and it's was not a show, but truly a service, as they ministered to us. Lucretia Bolden, Carlton Fellows and the Love Center Interdenominational Choir really sang their hearts out and Elder Carrington really ministered to us. It was an honor to be there for you as you're truly one of Cleveland's Un-Sung Heros.

Bishop:

Just wanted to e-mail you and let you know how much my wife and I enjoyed this past Sunday's Service at your church Celebrating your 23rd Pastoral Anniversary. Wayne Dawson from FOX 8 News in the morning delivered a powerful message in honor of you and I was most impressed when you called up his baby brother Will Dawson, Judge Elect for 2012 the City of East Cleveland. To see him kneel before the altar as you, and other ministers laying hands on him giving God the thanks with his brother and his wife standing behind him for winning the election, with not only faith, but hard work. It  was so moving. And the directions you gave him, telling him he owes no one, but listen to God and God will order his steps. It was so moving and special. My wife was crying as we enjoyed sharing in the moment. What a blessing it was that even though it was your Anniversary Day you let his moment shine as well.
