Thanks for helping me do the right thing and I hope other mothers will read this letter and share it with their children who might be breaking their heart.
A Mother's Day Prayer … continued
Ooowee!
If you didn’t read last week's letter frfom a mother to her son, I suggest you catch up with us. If you don't have last week’s Call and Post, simply go to www.callandpost.com as we continue with a few letters from individuals who read last week's letter:
Don't give me no money, matter of fact I should have not accepted the money last year. I knew son you didn't have a honest job, I knew that was drug money and my taking the money, gifts, and all that you did made me a part of the problem and not the solution of you getting your life together.
Son, you want to know what will make your mother the happiest mother on this Mother's Day? For you to STOP THE MADNESS. You know what this madness is I'm talking about, son. Son if you love your children, me and most importantly yourself I know you can change for the best. With God's help, my prayers and your efforts you can do it son.
Now I have to work tomorrow and so I'm going to try and sleep and will see you on my way out the door in the morning as I leave out for work.
Love,
Your Mother
To my readers:
The son never arrived home that night. He laid in a coma at a local hospital with a gun shot to the head from a drug deal gone bad. He passed away a day later!
Hopefully this letter from a mother who loved her son will at least save one of our lost sons out there who might not know how their actions are affecting not only their mother, but the entire family.
This letter was read by the mother at his Funeral Services!
Letters to the bishop
Bishop Moultry:
After reading your letter and crying, I let my son read it and my daughter as well. Both my daughter and son bishop are hurting me so badly because I only want the best for them but see them going down the road of madness. Both of them love me so much, but I don't think they know what love is all about.
My daughter is nineteen years-old with three babies, by three different thugs, no job and a new thug boy friend who does nothing but sell drugs like the others she's been with. My son who is seventeen years-old sells drugs and lives the lifestyle just like the boy in the letter and he has one child with yet another on the way by a different girl. Their father is in prison but they see me go to work everyday and church every Sunday. Last Mother's Day, my son and daughter took me out to eat, gave me roses, gifts and money and I accepted it all knowing it was not right. Now after reading this letter from the mother I'm doing this Mothers Day what I should have done last year on Mothers Day. I'm cooking a great dinner on Saturday night; invite them and their children who all live with me to go to church with me that Sunday morning and after church we'll have a great dinner.
Thanks for helping me do the right thing and I hope other mothers will read this letter and share it with their children who might be breaking their heart.
