Happy Birthday & Pastor’s Anniversary

Letters to the Bishop...

Bishop Moultry:

First, my husband and I would like to say Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary as you celebrate 24 years of serving the Lord. My husband and I plan on being at your church this Sunday, at 4 p.m. to celebrate with your church family.

Also, Bishop, I want you to know how blessed our pastor and his church to hear you preach at his 25th Pastoral Anniversary at Lee Seville. Bishop, when you were escorted out by one of the ministers and the entire church stood to greet you from way back in the back of the church, I could feel your anointment. In your beautiful white bishop’s robe, you were moving as you embraced our pastor, greeted all the ministers on the pulpit, then turned around and bowed and greeted us the members. I’ll never forget that wonderful sight Bishop and your humble spirit.

You ministered to us through your powerful singing, your anointed preaching and teaching, and your way of making us laugh, cry, and give God total praise as you used the word of God in everything you preached about. See you this Sunday!

Bishop Moultry:

Happy Birthday to you! You are truly an unsung hero who continues to stay on the battlefield no matter what. When I was in the hospital, you came to visit and brought communion to the person in the bed next to me. And after spending time with her, you came over to me and gave me communion and had prayer with me. I waited for my pastor or one of the ministers from my church to bring me communion and, when I told you this, your exact words were, “wait on no one but the Lord.” I’m glad you gave me communion because my pastor nor one of the ministers or deacons never showed up.

Bishop, enjoy your birthday. I’m looking forward to being at your church for your 24th Pastor’s Anniversary. I know you’ll remember me.

Bishop:

Happy Birthday to You!

When I was in prison, your Bishop Speaks Column kept me positive and strong for eight years. I had your articles all over the walls in my cell, Bishop. Now that I’m out, I continue to read your columns and often share your words of wisdom with my two sons.

Bishop, continue the great work you’re doing and know Cleveland loves you man.

Bishop:

I just saw you on the FOX8 News as you’re celebrating your 59th birthday and I can’t believe how great you look. The news also talked about your 24 years in the ministry as well.

I remember when you introduced gospel music into the Roman Catholic Church and how you rocked it. The whites loved it and you had to educate the Black Catholics. Now all over the world soul masses are taking place and even though you don’t get the credit you deserve, it was you who started it.

I’ll never forget you, bishop, and I plan on visiting you for your anniversary this Sunday.
