Antioch Baptist Church will have a play entitled “A Killing in Choctaw” on Saturday (6/18/2011) at 6 p.m. This event is sponsored by Antioch Baptist Church, Calvary Hill Baptist Church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church and Lee Memorial AME Church. Musical selection will by The Hue People and William Marshall. The play is a biography that chronicles the struggle to success of a young Black man from Alabama after witnessing the brutal murder of his father in 1962. For more information call (216) 421-1516.

SUNDAY

Fresh Wind Ministry will have their regular service on Sunday on (6/19/2011) with Pastor Brad A. Pratt bringing forth the word of God. The church service starts at 4 p.m. The church will be in their new location at 7035 Superior Avenue. For more information call (216) 659-3675.

Euclid Avenue Congregational Church UCC, under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Courtney Clayton Jenkins is holding their regular Sunday worship services, Sunday (6/19/2011) at First United Methodist Church, 3000 Euclid Avenue and East 30th Street. Service starts at 10 a.m.

Liberty Hill Baptist Church will have their Men’s Day Sunday, (6/19/2011) at 10:45 a.m. The keynote speaker is Minister Rev. Dr. Otis Moss, Jr. The theme for this year’s program is, “Men Putting on the Whole Armor to Serve God, Family, and the World.”   The scripture emphasis is Ephesians 6:13-18. Leviticus Bible Missionary Baptist Church will have a Father’s Day Buffet Dinner and Musical on Sunday (6/19/2011), honoring 19 years of Evangelist Lois Swanson’s Outreach Ministry. Good Shepherd Baptist Church will sponsor a two day mission conference (6/25 to 6/26/2011) entitled “Working together to bring in the Harvest.” Saturday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. there will be 6 mission classes offered. Sunday at 8 a.m. the speaker will be Pastor Saji Lukos of Reaching Indian Ministries International and, at the 10:45 a.m. service, Pastor Charles Cotton from the Faith Walk Fellowship will be the speaker. The National Black Catholic Congress XI will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana (7/19 through 7/22/2012). The National Black Catholic Congress is attended by representatives from arch/dioceses around the country every five years. The 10th Congress was held in July 2007 in Buffalo, New York. This Congress was attended by over 2000 adults and youth. Many of the participants came back to their arch/dioceses energized and empowered from the spirit-filled liturgies, the informative and inspirational workshops and presentations.
