The salads were so good, one lady walked up to me and said Mr. Wade doesn’t this taste like collard greens and mac and cheese? All I could do was laugh.

While First Lady Michelle Obama made a surprise visit at Nickelodeon’s annual Worldwide Day of Play (WWDOP) event, held for the first time ever in Washington, D.C. this year, the Mount Moriah Baptist Church hosted 3 hours of fun in Cleveland.
The Pastor Rev. Brown and Berkley Dixon spearheaded fun activities at Humphrey Park from noon to 3 p.m.
The day consisted of exercising and eating healthy (smile) for the day. Brown said he wanted to support Mrs. Obama’s cause to be healthy and help fight obesity.
The day started with prayer and a short talk about the purpose of being there from Brown. The church held sack races, laps around the park, basketball, and other fun games that made you want to be active and, in some cases, gave you a Charlie horse. I really enjoyed my time with this church.
For lunch they served nothing but healthy goods – all types of green salads, 3 bean salad, fruit salad and water. If you came to this fun day looking for a slab of ribs or a coke you was in the wrong place.

Donald Dixon and his brothers provide me with laughs all afternoon.
Brown invited other churches to come out and participate in this day of fun, asking around… I know someone from Hopewell Baptist Church was there. This was a place not only to have fun at the picnic but also be in the company of a bunch of great people.
Mount Moriah church is located at 10101 Saint Clair Ave. and the people are very friendly. “My whole family had a fantastic time,” it was such a fabulous event - from the great music playing in the background while eating great healthy food,” said Dixon.
