Olivet host Breast Cancer Awareness Concert

Olivet Institutional Baptist served as the host church for a Breast Cancer awareness concert that consisted of many churches. The service included testomonies of various cancer survivors. The brain child of the concert stemed from Olivet’s Director Leesa patterson who lost her mother to Breast Cancer 3 years ago.
Pastor Jawanza K. Colvin embraced this idea and churches from around the city united.
Churches like Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Beulah Baptist Church, Inner Healing Ministries, Faith Walk Fellowship, East Mt. Zion to name a few.
First Lady Allison Colvin and radio personality Kym Sellers served as Mistresses of Ceremonies.
Rev. Colvin ignited the audience when he spoke about some family of yours who is affected by cancer.
It was time to reflect on being thankful for any member who has survived any form of cancer. It was a moment of silence and a Prayer of Thanksgiving.
Dr. Grenee Hunter was the guest Director/Soloist for the evening.various soloist included Lisa (Sunshine) Barnhill, Kathryn White, Anita Thomas, and Andrenee Fant Priest.
