Pastor Antoine Charles Ligon celebrated his first year anniversary at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio.
Pastor A. Charles Ligon, who was officially installed on February 20, 2011. Under our current leadership New Jerusalem will continue on doing what our Lord requires of us as a whole.
In 1985, God called him to the faith by committing his heart to Christ. Called to Ministry in 1996 and later ordained in December of 2000, under the leadership of his father, Rev. A. Charles began sharing the gospel in cities throughout the nation. In 2003, he was called to the Pastorate of the Shepherd Inspirational Missionary Baptist Church (Cleveland, OH) for five years. In 2008, A. Charles harkened to God's voice and joined the Israelite Missionary Baptist Church under the tutelage of Pastor D. A. Witcher, where he served as the Christian Education Director and Sunday School Director, and as God would have it, Reverend A. Charles Ligon received his Divine appointment to Pastor the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church on November 21, 2010. Since this time Pastor Ligon has worked tirelessly to transform, inform and conform the various ministry gifts that God has given throughout the church.
Under the direction of God, the following improvements of ministry have taken place: B.L.O.O.M. (Becoming Ladies of Outstanding Measure), S.W.A.G. (Soldier's Winning And Grinding 4 The Savior), Seniors, Men's Fellowship and Women's Fellowship Ministries-, just to name a few. He has also combined the Deaconess, Mother's, Minister's Wives and Widows ministries into one so that New Jerusalem can "work smarter and not harder!' Even though Pastor Ligon is entrenched in making sure that EVERY MEMBER understands and knows the Plan for Salvation, he also knows that he can't do it all himself. Therefore he created a Salvation Team Ministry that welcomes all new members to Christ and helps to ensure that they understand what it means to be saved.
Pastor Ligon has a passion to have the glory of God reflect in his life, and for His grace to overflow into the lives of others. He also has a tremendous passion for God's word coupled with a love for God's people, and a contagious spirit of generosity that flows through every facet of his ministry.

A. Charles Ligon graduated from John Marshall Hligh School in June of 1992 and will also be receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Cleveland State University.
Pastor Ligon has received his Bachelor's of Theology at Andersonville Theological Senninary, where he Will soon to finish with a Masters in Christian Counseling.
Pastor Ligon is married to his best friend, Lady Doniella Ligon. They share nine child-ten: Woodrina, Shanna, Miya, Shanice, DeShanelle, D'Angelo, Deja, Denzell & -Mercedes; three granddaughters: D'Yanna, Tameeya & Shanlice and one grandson: Kevin. God extended His Love and given them four God-Daughters: Lady Haley-Jae Sykes, D'Yanna Banks, Johniya Mona Kelly and Aryseana Harper as well as mo God-Sons: Lyndale and Everett Clark Jr.
The scripture that motivates and inspires him the most is Psalms 34:8: "0 taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him."
