Church held a nice Super Bowl fellowship

Super Bowl Sunday, sometimes referred to as Super Sunday, is the Sunday on which the Super Bowl is played. On Super Bowl Sunday, several people gather to watch the Super Bowl. Some such gatherings are known for the large amount of food that is consumed by attendees.
Well the ShilohBaptistChurchheld its 4th annual Super Bowl fellowship at the church on Sunday, February 3, 2013. Yes they had so much food and fun, all you could do is lay back and enjoy the game.
Churches sometimes cancel their afternoon or evening services for Super Bowl Sunday. Others hold football-themed charity drives or deliver sermons designed to appeal to male members of the congregation. But this church host Super Bowl viewing parties, and even has drawings during halftime.
ShilohBaptistChurchis a historic church at 5500 Scovill Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. The building was originally used as a synagogue and was known as Temple B'nai Jeshurun. It was built in 1906 and added to the National Register in 1982.
The church started out on 1850 on East 14th Street, and moved from its original location to a site onCentral Avenue in 1865. It enjoyed significant growth immediately following the Civil War. In 1869, the church relocated again toEast 30th Street nearScovill Avenue.
Currently, the church is led by the Rev. Jenkins, he is blessed with the opportunity to lead this historic congregation in writing the next chapter of service and relevant ministry to the Greater Cleveland community. It is his prayer and firm conviction that God will utilize the gifts and hearts of theShilohfellowship to be a blessing in the lives of its surrounding community.
Since his arrival, the Lord has blessed the congregation with the inception of a weekly bible study, Women’s Ministry, Gospel Jazz worship services, Thanksgiving community meal, and a new church logo with corresponding website.
In spite of all the life lessons the Lord has blessed him to learn, Rev. Jenkins knows that only the awesome and healing power of God has sustained him to reach this place on his faith journey. It is this knowledge that continuously serves as the foundation for his personal ministry as he seeks to serve as an ambassador for Christ.
Jenkins, a native ofBrooklyn,New York, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration fromMorehouseCollegewith Phi Beta Kappa distinction.
In January 2005, Rev. Jenkins accepted God’s call to preach the Gospel. In May 2008, he earned his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary with a concentration in Practical Theology. In the fall of 2006, he was awarded the Faithful Practices Fellowship in Pastoral Leadership, which is fully underwritten by the Lilly Endowment.
This servant of God has served as a contributing writer for the National Baptist Voice, the official publication for the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.

Rev. Jenkins is married to his seminary sweetheart, the former Rev. Courtney Clayton of Cleveland, Ohio.
