Eric Wright, 46, one of Cleveland’s great musicians passed last Friday in an accident involving a car and his motorcycle. Wright, who comes from a talented musical family, had the ability to sing as well as play the keyboards.
Wright was known to many as the musician for the WZAK 93 Kids’ Choir as well throughout the Cleveland and surrounding area. Wright played at Mt. Zion of Oakwood for many years and also served as a minister.
“The light of faith burned brighter because of Eric’s gift from almighty God, and his voice, his laughter, his power, and his praise all belong to our heavenly father.
His ministry of song, joy, and uplifting peace blessed all who came to know him. God knows that man could touch the heart of someone locked in the river of despair and carry them back to an ocean of hope.
We loved our dear brother deeply and will miss him here on Earth. We want you all to know we will surely see him again as he leads a cherubim of angels in song at the convocation for Christ’s welcome into heaven.
God bless you all for your prayers, your thoughts, and your kind words for our family as we continue the healing process and surround our brother’s children with the loving support they need to embrace God’s destiny for their own lives.”
From the family of Min. Eric Wright.
