The long losing streak is over. It ended in an improbable way.

Head coach Byron Scott wasn’t on the bench when it happened.

A veteran led the way and a player from the D-League played a big part.

Antawn Jamison scored 25 points, 16 of them in the final stanza as the Cavs beat the Raptors up in Toronto 84–80. Jamison also pulled down 8 rebounds.

Jamison had help as Lester Hudson, the former Developmental League player, came on strong and canned 23 points.

Samardo Samuels scored 10 as the Cavs outscored the Raptors 33–17 in the fourth quarter for the win. The Raptors shot only 5 of 19 in the fourth quarter.

Byron Scott was ejected with 53 seconds remaining before halftime. Assistant Paul Pressey took over the team and guided it to the victory.

The Cavs will be in New Jersey on Sunday.
