Lady Surge dominate D-I junior college team to improve to 2-0

The Lady Surge win 93 to 52 over Lincoln Trail to improve to 2-0 on the season. Sophomore Brittiney Latimer (Xenia HS) scored 16 points to lead all scorers along with 10 rebounds. Taylor Frazier (Middletown HS) grabbed 12 rebounds to go along with 15 points. Kara McLemore (Trotwood - Madison) and Alexis Fitzpatrick (Colerain) each scored 14 points. McLemore and Latimer also each recorded 6 steals on the evening. Cincinnati State will return to action at home tomorrow at 3 pm against Rend Lake CC.

Cincinnati State has proven to be one of the most successful junior college programs in the nation. Women's basketball repeated as champions of the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference in 2009 and 2010. Women's soccer finished ranked 13th nationally amongst all junior colleges. The most crowning achievements were earned by men's basketball, men's soccer, men's golf, and women's basketball as each team competed in the NJCAA National Tournament and made school history with record breaking results over the past two years as shown below:
