Lady season comes to a close.
The Cincinnati State Lady Surge's season came to an end with a 64-56 loss to Kirkwood Community College in the National Junior College Athletic Association's national consolation bracket.
Kirkwood was led by Cassie Cruise, who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds. Cincinnati State sophomores Kara McLemore, Taylor Frazier and Dominique Fischer each finished with 9 points. Freshman Alexis Fitzpatrick scored 8 points. As a team, Cincinnati State converted 32.8% from the field as compared to Kirkwood's 42.3%. Kirkwood also owned the advantage in rebounding 41-36.
Cincinnati State, a team who entered this year's tournament ranked No.2 in the NJCAA polls, finishes the season with a program best 32 wins and 3 losses.
