Imani Temple begins new chapter

 

 

Imani Temple Ministries Pastor and Establishmentarian Rodney S. Thomas and First Lady Marcia Thomas.

 

 

Imani Temple Ministries Pastor and Establishmentarian Rev. Dr. Rodney S. Thomas sought out one of his close confidants in ministry to usher in the 15 anniversary of Imani Temple Ministries.

 

Pastor John W. Robbins III, of Calvary Hill Missionary Baptist Church delivered a roaring sermon that captured the essence of Thomas’ journey that began with 55 charter members and is now in excess of several hundred.

 

Located in Cleveland Heights, Imani temple was honored by scores of elected officials included Cleveland Heights Mayor Cheryl L. Stephens who attended the morning service and presented Rev. Thomas with a proclamation from the city.

 

Congresswoman Marcia Fudge, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson also presented commendations to Imani Temple.

 

“Imani Temple Ministries is a beacon of hope, a symbol of love, and a testament of faith,” wrote Rep. Fudge.

 

Mayor Jackson hailed Pastor Thomas writing, “He has tirelessly provided consistent, reliable ministry to the congregation he serves and his dedication and commitment to the community is undeniable. I invite all Clevelanders to join me in congratulating Reverend Dr. Thomas as he celebrates this joyous occasion and wishing him many more years of successful service and happiness.”

 

Happiness it was, beginning from of the morning service, which concluded with a skit from the youth members who mocked The Pastor, choir and ministry in hilarious fashion.

 

Committee members presented Pastor and First Lady Marcia Thomas with flowers, a plaque and assorted gifts of well wishes.

 

The 15th anniversary celebration concluded with a joyous reception in Hank’s Hall, and thus the pastor who seemingly never rest, embarked on yet another year of serving Christ, healing souls, mending hearts and inspiring hope.
