Cavs will need a miracleUntitled

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving spilled their guts on the Quicken Loans Arena court Wednesday before another heart-throbbing, wine-T-shirt wearing crowd, but it still was not enough to overcome the undefeated Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of The Finals.

James would finish just shy of yet another triple-double and a game high 39 points, Irving poured in 38, that X-factor for the Warriors, Kevin Durant took over late in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead drive and score and the coffin sealing free throws in the final seconds and the Warriors held on for a 118-113 victory.

It was their 11 consecutive in the post season, and more importantly moved them within one game of their second title in three years.

Shamefully, people are already anointing Durant as the greatest player in the world, which is ironic since he apparently wasn’t even the greatest player on his own team when he was with Oklahoma City.

He is a very good basketball player and among the top in the NBA today, but to say that he has surpassed James because of three games in the championship, it’s just out right laughable. But this is the narrative this gutless group of lily white reporters are painting.

A somber Cavs crowd rushed out of the Q as the final horn sounded, mumbling what should have been. Game 4 is Friday and these same fans will be right back in there hope for yet another miracle. Who say’s there isn’t one?
