Dr. E.T. Caviness Anniversary Set for Oct. 21

The Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church family cordially invites you to join us in the 57th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration of our beloved Pastor; Reverend Dr. E. Theophilus Caviness, Sunday, Oct. 21st.

This exciting event will include a power-packed 10:30 a.m. worship service with Rev. T. J. Caviness Sr., Co-Pastor of The Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church, as the morning speaker. The Mass Choir of Greater Abyssinia will be providing special music, directed by Tremell Yarbrough, Artist in Residence Glenn Brackens, and Mark Thompson, Organist.

The Pastoral Anniversary Celebration is entitled, “A Pastor Serving the Total Needs of Mankind through Jesus Christ Our Savior.”

The thematic scripture, Jeremiah 3:15, references the fact that God will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. This same pattern was then transferred by David to his son Solomon who was assigned to finish all the work for the house of the Lord.

Reverend Caviness has received the “Heart of a Servant” and is assigned to complete the work! He is following the vision and fulfilling the dream of many through morale and civil rights for all people. Greater Abyssinia is privileged to have such a man of God feeding our flock for 57 faithful years, at such a time as this we need to be feed with the truth.
