The Cavs Crown, Tribe frown and Trump Triumph

The Cleveland cavaliers celebrate the city’s first world championship in over 50 years by winning the NBA Championship over the Golden State Warriors. More than 1.3 million attended the Cavs championship parade in downtown Cleveland. The year of 2016 will go into the record books as the most un-Believable. How else can anyone explain the Cavaliers climbing out of a 1-3 hole in the NBA Finals against a Warriors team that had shattered the record for most wins in a season with 73? Who would dare think that the Tribe who eliminate both Boston and Toronto and then roar out to a 3-1 series lead in the World Series against the mighty Chicago Cubs, but then blow it at home in one of the most memora

Browns fend off Chargers in home finale

Cleveland will have something extra to celebrate on Christmas Eve. The Browns held on for their first win of the season in dramatic fashion, taking down the Chargers, 20-17, on Saturday at FirstEnergy Stadium. With a three point lead late in the fourth quarter, they blocked a 32-field goal with under four minutes and staved off San Diego’s last-second comeback bid. That was something of a turning point in game where Cleveland’s defense took centerstage, turning back veteran quarterback Philip Rivers and a high-powered offense time and again on a cold and windy afternoon. The Chargers finished with 356 total yards but were just 5-of-15 on third down and struggled to neutralize the Browns' pas

The ‘Q’ to get $140 million makeover

The Cleveland Cavaliers announced this week a striking $140 million upgrade to the Q Arena that dramatically alters the facility's appearance and, the team says, would make the 22-year-old arena competitive by creating more space for dining, bars and public gathering. The Cavs and taxpayers would split the cost, without any increase in taxes. Existing taxes on hotel rooms and Q tickets would pay most of the public's share. The Q would remain open during construction, which would finish by 2020, under the plan. Any discussion of public financing of sports stadiums is controversial in Cleveland, and the public will have multiple chances to offer thoughts on this project at various council hea

DKP’s Eric Molina takes on Joshua for IBF title

Don King Productions Eric Molina will take on Anthony Joshua for the IBF heavyweight championship on Saturday Dec. 10 in Manchester England. Joshua, 27, is undefeated with a 17-0 record and considered by many to be the next Mike Tyson. Molina, 34, is 25-3 and riding a two fight win streak after giving WBC champion Deontay Wilder all he could handle before a 9th round stoppage. Molina is a massive underdog going into the fight and is seen as a mere stepping stone to a potential blockbuster with former champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2017.
