Ginn Academy Senior succumbs to Drive-By Shooting

“He took a bullet for somebody, but he was an innocent bystander,” said Tinetria McGhee, sister of John Hay football star quarterback Michael Chapman, who was shot last July 6th while walking home from his job with a friend, along Ansel Road, on Cleveland’s East side. McGhee sat and slept in a makeshift bed, vigilantly by his bedside, surrounded by family at University’s Lakeside Hospital until Friday, July 21st. Chapman’s family and friends believed he would walk again in contrast to the doctors’ prognosis of paralysis from the waist down, but certainly anticipated he would survive. “I’m not giving up. I am going by the Master’s plan. He (Michael) is strong. I’m in the process of moving, I

Kyrie adopted the Kobe rule

As THIS week began the turmoil inside the Cleveland Cavaliers reached a debilitating crescendo of the chaos that has engulfed the franchise since it became known public that Kyrie Irving demanded to be traded. Recently, the Cavs star guard went to owner Dan Gilbert and essentially complained about his role with the team and requested a trade, declaring that he could not co-exist with The King, LeBron James. James had knew of Irving discontent several weeks before and so too did teammates and players throughout the league, but instead said nothing and took the high road as he has always done. Just as James has kept a low-key profile on all of the Cavs off-season decisions or lack thereof, h

‘The Spectacle’ is a low blow for humanity

The media tour for ‘The Spectacle’ has concluded and all that is left is for the money to keep pouring in for the Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather-Conor McGregor “boxing match” in Las Vegas on August 26th. It pits the UFC’s most popular commodity versus boxing’s most despised legend in Mayweather. The build up began more than a year ago with McGregor’s shallow challenge to fight Mayweather, but subsequently transformed into an all out social media battle and pseudo public spat. Now the time has come for this nation to fulfill its promise… “THERE IS NO WINNER IN A NUCLEAR EXCHANGE.” NUCLEAR WAR IS LIKE NO OTHER WAR THAT THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN…. “IF IT’S NAÏVE TO WANT PEACE INSTEAD OF WAR, LET’EM MAKE SURE THEY SAY I’M NAÏVE, BECAUSE I WANT PEACE INSTEAD OF WAR.” SAID BENJAMIN FERENCZ, THE LAST NUREMBURG PROSECUTOR; WHO I UNCONDITIONALLY SUPPORT IN THE DESIRE AND QUEST FOR PEACE. No form of war is good…BUT NUCLEAR WAR THREATENS OUR HUMAN EXISTENCE ON PLANET EARTH, so I whole heartedly support Benjamin Ferencz’s far reaching message for peace in the world today. I pray to God that President Trump will utilize and employ his spiritually touched and ingenious program

Breaking News

In my article of June 28th to July 4th, the Call & Post posted a black cartoon that historically was used as a scare tactic to frighten white people of “Negro Rule” over them. Mistakenly it was posted without describing its message and purpose. A newspaper cartoon from 1898 warns of a black man pictured as dictating “Negro Rule” (courtesy of Tom Hatchet sorting the new South City) according to The Atlantic: “Democratic controlled newspapers published cartoons about the horror of “Negro Rule” that had emerged from the Fusion Ballot Box, and stepped up coverage of black crime. ‘The Anglo-Saxon must rule’, an editorial from ‘Charlotte Observer’ argued a rising Democrat, Charles Aycock gave spee
