All I want for Christmas

Christmas is the annual holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. With excitement and great expectancy, I wait to observe December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration joining billions of people from around the world. Although the month and date of his birth are unknown, the church, in the early fourth century fixed the date as December 25 and I can find no reason to argue against celebrating Christmas on this date. As a Christian, I believe that God came into the world in the form of a man to atone for the sins of humanity. The fact that he came into the world is therefore the primary purpose and focus in celebrating Christmas. It is therefore nonsensical to argue the merits of

One on One with Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States

This is an interview between myself and Mr. Ja’Ron Smith the Deputy Director for the Office of American Innovation under the authority of President Donald J. Trump. Ja’Ron met with various elected officials, community leaders, stakeholders as well as a reception hosted by Michael Canty and LaVerne Gore and the local Republican Party. The opportunity for me to sit down with someone of his statue and standing as well as a former resident of the Lee-Harvard area where I came from was indeed an honor. I am certainly proud of this young man; this African-American young man standing strong at the pinnacle of even greater accomplishments. Dale Edwards: Good Morning Mr. Director Ja’Ron Smith. Ja’

FIRST ENERGY REACHES TO ITS CUSTOMERS IN SERVICE AND ASSISTANCE - PART 3 - FINAL

Q: How will the Bill passed by the State impact the customers? A: It will reduce their bills and the average residential customer’s bill will be reduced by $2.50. They will pay a little more because of the nuclear plants but because of the clean air attributes of the nuclear plants the bill also reduced the mandate in Ohio to continuing to add wind and solar. Those are higher costs. It treated nuclear plants as a clean air source. When nuclear plants are treated as a clean air source, you do not need as much of the other sources. I am not opposed to wind or solar at all. We are in discussion presently about getting into wind and solar more directly. It is still not on par for a cust

FIRST ENERGY REACHES TO ITS CUSTOMERS IN SERVICE AND ASSISTANCE - PART 2

Q: Does First Energy have to expand its efforts because of growth in Cleveland? A: Interestingly enough, despite the fact that you see growth in Cleveland, please realize that, when it comes to electricity, that the growth is not there. It has been flat. It has been flat for almost a decade. The average customer has light bulbs, coffee pots etc…When they go to the Home Depot or Lowes to buy bulbs, every light bulb which they purchase, allows them to use1/8th to 1/10th of the electricity which they formerly used. A 100-watt bulb now uses 8-watts. The use of energy efficient bulbs has decreased the use and demand for electricity; therefore, the rate has been flat for electricity usage. N
