President Obama Comes to Cleveland

As Ohio's early voting period begins, President Barack Obama will campaign for Hillary Clinton in the Buckeye State on Friday, October 14 at a "Get Out the Early Vote" rally in the Cleveland area.

President Obama will urge Ohioans to go vote for Clinton and to support her agenda to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. Ohioans began voting in person on Wednesday, October 12.

Registering to vote

Ohioans must have registered to vote by October 11 to vote in this year’s election. You can get started by visiting iwillvote.com — don’t forget to sign, stamp, and mail in your registration once you’re done, or find a local organizing office to register to vote with our team.

Early voting in person is easy, convenient, and more and more Ohioans are casting their ballots early together at the day and time that works best for them. Any registered voter can take advantage of early voting in person starting on October 12th – all you need is the last four digits of your social security number!

Voting early by mail

Voting by mail in Ohio is easy, convenient, and any registered voter in Ohio can do it. If you didn’t receive a vote-by-mail request from the Secretary of State’s office, you can request to vote by mail by clicking here. Then, send your application to your local board of elections by mail or just drop it off.

Vote by mail ballots are mailed starting on October 12th to all voters who request them. When you receive your ballot you just need to fill it out, sign it, stamp it, and mail it back or drop it off in person and that’s it — you’ve voted!

Voting on election day

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th. The polls are open from 6:30am to 7:30pm on Election Day, and any registered voter in Ohio can vote on Election Day. As long as you’re in line by 7:30pm, you’ll be able to vote.

Voting on Election Day is easy – just check here to confirm your Election Day polling location and don’t forget to bring a valid form of identification with you to the polls!

Valid Election Day IDs:

Valid Ohio Driver’s License/State ID (even if the address doesn’t match your registered address!) or Military ID or Copy of a utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document that shows your name and current address and was issued in the last 12 months.
