Imani Temple  Ministries turns 17

Lead Pic Cap: Dr. Rev. Rodney S. Thomas (left) and First Lady Marcia Thomas will host Imani Temple Ministries 17th Anniversary on Sunday Oct. 28 at 2463 North Taylor Road in Cleveland Heights begging at 12-noon.

Imani Temple Ministries (ITM) Founder/Establishmentarian Dr. Rev. Rodney S. Thomas remembers the days when he held church services in a local funeral home, but 17 years later from those humble beginnings Dr. Rev. Thomas and Imani Temple Ministries has grown and evolved into one of the powerful Christian based organizations in Northeast Ohio.

On Sunday The Dr. Rev. Thomas and Imani Temple Ministries will celebrate its 17 Anniversary that will begin with a monumental two hour worship service from 10 a.m.-12p.m., followed by a reception in Hank’s Hall from 1:30 p.m.-3p.m. and then a glorious Musical Celebration led by its Minister of Music the renowned Tina Farmer from 4p.m.-5p.m.

While ITM has grown tremendously with more than 400 members and is now located on a sprawling campus at 2463 North Taylor Road in Cleveland Heights, it has proven to be more than just a church, with ministry that serves the homeless, provides coats for the needy in the winter and feeds hundreds of families through its massive Food Bank Ministry.

The theme for this year’s anniversary is ‘You Can’t Beat God’s Giving’, Tremendous Power of God’s Gifts throughout our 17-years of ministry, something that has been an example that Dr. Rev. Thomas and ITM lives by with ‘No Excuses.’
